Prerequisite: BIOL1120 or permission of instructor

• Students will explore how plants grow, adapt, and sustain life on Earth, and examine their roles in various applications upon and beyond our planet.

• Course Objectives:

  • Understand basic ecological principles as they relate to plants and ecosystems.

  • Develop skills recognizing and describing major plant groups.

  • Explore applications of plant science in food, medicine, and sustainability.

  • Gain hands-on experience with greenhouse, hydroponic, and herbarium methods for studying and managing plant diversity.
