This new grant opportunity was formed in partnership with the Tennessee Native Plant Society (TNPS) and designed to support student engagement in plant research and conservation. TNPS has served the state of Tennessee since 1977, providing essential support toward protection of wild plant communities through education. The awards granted are intended to support students participating in botanical research, field studies, botanical outreach and education or herbarium activities that enhance the student’s educational experiences and likelihood of a career in botany.
Through the application process students will demonstrate their interests in botanical research by submitting a creative essay response to one of the two options provided.
