The Wolf River Conservancy and The ACRE Institute at The University of Memphis are now accepting applications for a paid internship in the Spring of 2026
When: January 26th - May 15th (15 weeks) | Application deadline January 16th
Hours: 10-15 hours per week (flexible around class schedule)
Salary: $15 per hour
Position Description: Intern will support WRC projects that advance conservation, environmental education, stewardship, and community engagement. Intern will gain hands-on experience in land trust operations and applied conservation work, while building professional skills in project planning, communications, and collaboration. Required Qualifications:
· Currently enrolled at the University of Memphis (undergraduate or graduate)
· Interest in conservation, environmental education, natural resource management, planning, or a related field.
· Reliable transportation to Memphis-area sites for field work (or ability to coordinate with WRC for site access).
· Ability to communicate clearly, follow instructions, and work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and partners.
· Comfort working outdoors in variable weather for field-based tasks, with reasonable accommodations as needed.
· Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace (email, documents, and spreadsheets).
